Bitarchitects proudly welcomed distinguished leaders from the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry to its first-ever open house, held on Friday evening at the firm’s office penthouse in the Navy Yard. The event, organized in light of the upcoming AIA|DC Board of Directors elections and Founder & Managing Partner Terry Bitar’s candidacy, was an elegant evening of conversation, networking, and celebration.
Guests were treated to a refined showcase of Bitarchitects’ portfolio, with select private projects displayed on easels throughout the space. The boards featured both interiors and exteriors, offering an exclusive glimpse into the firm’s vision and caliber of design. The curated presentation underscored Bitarchitects’ dedication to innovation, excellence, and detail.
The evening unfolded with fine wine, gourmet cuisine, and elevated conversation. Formal remarks were delivered by Charles Sills, Retired Colonel Jack O’Neill, and Founder & Managing Partner Terry Bitar, each highlighting Bitarchitects’ impact on the city and its role in shaping the future of design and construction.
With international embassy representatives present and many of Washington’s most respected industry leaders in attendance, the open house marked an important milestone in Bitarchitects’ trajectory as a trendsetter in the built environment.
“This evening was a true milestone moment,” said Bitar. “It was our first time welcoming the broader community into our space, and we were deeply honored to share our work, our vision, and our gratitude with such an esteemed audience.”
Advisory Board Member Christine Ingersoll added: “This open house was an excellent opportunity to showcase the amazing work completed by Bitarchitects and introduce their skills to major AEC firms and industry giants. Bitarchitects is setting the right tone by proving that firms with vision and grit can compete at the very top.”
Throughout the evening, speakers and guests reflected not only on Bitarchitects’ story and its growing impact, but also on the broader spirit of opportunity that defines America. The conversations underscored how the United States continues to be a place where vision, persistence, and hard work can transform firms into industry leaders.
As Bitarchitects continues its rapid ascent as a multidisciplinary powerhouse, this inaugural open house set the stage for future gatherings that will further strengthen its role at the intersection of design excellence, global engagement, and community building.
