Residence B3DM

This project emerged from our client’s necessity to defend her townhouse in Georgetown, DC, amidst a neighbor’s zoning relief request. Faced with the prospect of her neighbor’s massive addition potentially overshadowing her residence, she sought Bitarchitects’ expertise to counter and address the neighbor’s relief proposal. Bitarchitects took on the challenge of preparing the essential documentation required for submission at the zoning hearing, advocating for a fair resolution that would preserve the integrity of her townhouse without impeding the neighbor’s aspirations for a larger residence. The primary focus was to articulate and present the adverse impact the proposed addition might have on her property, emphasizing the overshadowing and potential compromises to her living conditions. Through thorough documentation and compelling arguments, Bitarchitects facilitated discussions that led to a mutually beneficial compromise. The resolution achieved a midway point that allowed the neighbor to pursue their contemporary aspirations for a larger townhouse while ensuring that her residence remained unobstructed and unaffected by overshadowing. The conclusion of this project represents Bitarchitects’ commitment to advocating for their client’s interests and achieving a balanced resolution that upholds the integrity of both properties. Through their expertise in zoning opposition and effective presentation of concerns, Bitarchitects enabled a fair and amicable solution that satisfied both parties involved.
