Residence 1LIR
This project is dedicated to remodeling the main floor to create a comfortable and accessible living space tailored to our client’s elderly mother. The primary goal is to integrate ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) features that enhance mobility and safety, ensuring a supportive environment for her mother’s needs.
Bitarchitects has been entrusted with the task of developing comprehensive architectural documents for this purpose. Their expertise will ensure that the space is not only functional but also thoughtfully designed to cater to the unique requirements of an elderly resident.
Key considerations include widening doorways for wheelchair accessibility, installing grab bars and handrails in strategic locations for stability, and minimizing trip hazards throughout the space. Additionally, the layout will be optimized to facilitate ease of movement and navigation, with ample space for maneuverability.
Bitarchitects will also focus on incorporating features that promote comfort and convenience, such as adjustable-height countertops, lever-style door handles for ease of operation, and non-slip flooring to prevent falls.
By working closely with our client and her family, Bitarchitects will ensure that every aspect of the remodel is tailored to meet the specific needs and preferences of her elderly mother. The result will be a living space that not only meets ADA standards but also provides a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment where her mother can thrive.
