Licensed Civil Engineer (Per Project Role)

Bitarchitects is seeking a licensed Civil Engineer (PE) with expertise in land development and site design to support our projects on a contract / per-project basis. This remote opportunity is ideal for a PE licensed in Washington, DC, Maryland, or Virginia, with proven experience in grading, stormwater management, utilities, and permitting for residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead land development design for residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects.
• Prepare and review site plans, grading, drainage, stormwater management, erosion control, and utility layouts.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and surveyors to ensure integrated project delivery.
• Review, sign, and seal engineering drawings and technical reports as a licensed PE.
• Conduct feasibility studies, due diligence reviews, and occasional site inspections as needed.

Requirements:

• Active PE license in at least one of the following: DC, MD, or VA (multiple licenses preferred).
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering codes, land development standards, and permitting processes.
• Proficiency with civil/site engineering software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD).
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and maintain high-quality standards in a remote setting.
• Excellent technical, organizational, and communication skills.

Role Type:

• Remote position, with occasional site visits when required.
• Project-based / contract engagement.
